Switch IT support provider — Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi
Unhappy with your IT support company? Switch with confidence.
Missan helps businesses across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE move from reactive support to managed IT — helpdesk, onsite engineers, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, backup, IT AMC and leadership reporting under one accountable partner.
The warning signs
If this sounds familiar, it is time to look.
Many UAE companies outgrow their provider long before they replace it. These are the signs leadership teams report most often.
- IT tickets take too long and the same problems keep repeating
- Your provider lacks senior engineer ownership
- Microsoft 365, backup and cybersecurity are unclear
- No useful reports or management visibility
- Concerns about ransomware, downtime or data loss
“Your IT partner should reduce risk, not create uncertainty.”
The most common reasons UAE companies change IT providers:
- Slower response as your provider takes on more clients
- Engineer turnover that resets knowledge of your environment
- Weak documentation of users, systems and vendors
- Security concerns raised, then ignored
- Backups assumed to work, never tested
- No clear risk visibility for leadership

Let us be direct
What people are actually worried about.
Nobody hesitates to change IT provider because they need more feature comparisons. Here are the four things that genuinely stop people, answered plainly.
“We are tied into a contract.”
Usually less binding than it feels. Find the notice period in your current agreement — it is commonly 30, 60 or 90 days — and count backwards from when you want us live. We plan the switch around that date rather than asking you to break anything or pay twice. If you are mid-term, we will tell you honestly whether it is worth waiting for renewal.
“Our current provider holds all the passwords.”
This is the one that keeps people stuck, and it is the reason we do it differently. Your Microsoft 365 tenant and your admin accounts are registered in your company’s name from day one — not ours. You hold the keys, and you can leave us without asking our permission. If your incumbent stalls on handover, we have recovered environments before through the domain registrar and Microsoft’s own ownership process; it is slower, but it works.
“What if something breaks mid-switch?”
Your outgoing provider stays in place while we take over. We run in parallel until the new arrangement is verified working — support routes tested, backups confirmed, access proven — and only then does the old contract end. Nobody is asked to jump between two providers on a Sunday morning and hope.
“What is this going to cost us on top?”
The IT health check is free, and you keep the written report whether or not you go ahead with us. Transition work is quoted separately once we know what is actually there — you see the number and agree it before anything starts. We would rather lose a deal on price than surprise you with an invoice in month two.
Three things to do before you give notice
Do these whoever you switch to — including if you decide to stay where you are. They take an afternoon and they are the difference between a clean handover and a painful one.
Confirm you control your domain
Log in to your domain registrar yourself. If you cannot, or you do not know who holds it, resolve that before you give notice — it is the hardest thing to recover afterwards.
Confirm you hold Global Administrator on your Microsoft 365 tenant
Not your provider’s account with you as a user. An account in your company’s name, that you can sign into today.
Ask for the asset and licence list in writing
Devices, servers, subscriptions, renewal dates and which licences are in your name versus your provider’s. A reasonable provider sends it. A refusal tells you something.
The structured 30-day move
How the switch to Missan works.
A controlled, documented onboarding — discovery first, fixes prioritised, ownership clear. No gaps in support while responsibility changes hands.
Free IT health check
A structured review of your current environment to understand the real risks before anything moves — support quality, security posture and continuity gaps.
Gap review
Review of Microsoft 365, backup, cybersecurity and support gaps, so the first fixes target what is actually exposed.
Full inventory
Inventory of users, devices, servers, networks and vendors — rebuilding practical documentation where the old provider left it incomplete.
Transition plan
A transition plan with priorities, owners and first fixes — a controlled handover, not a leap of faith.
What improves first

Switching provider — questions
What UAE leadership teams ask before they move.
When should a company switch IT support providers?
When support is slow, issues repeat, documentation is weak, security is unclear, vendors are unmanaged or leadership lacks visibility into IT risk and performance.
Can Missan take over from another IT company smoothly?
Yes. Missan reviews access, documentation, users, systems, licences, vendors and support history so the transition stays controlled from day one.
How does Missan reduce risk during an IT provider change?
Your existing provider stays in place while we take over. We run in parallel until the new arrangement is verified working — support routes tested, backups confirmed, admin access proven — and only then does the old contract end. There is no day where you have handed over control and are hoping it works.
Who owns our Microsoft 365 tenant and admin passwords if we switch to Missan?
You do. Your Microsoft 365 tenant and admin accounts are registered in your company’s name from day one, not in ours, and you can leave us at any time without asking our permission. Holding credentials hostage at exit is one of the most common complaints in this industry, and it is the reason we set things up this way from the start.
We are still under contract with our current IT provider. Can we still talk?
Yes, and it is the right time to. Find the notice period in your current agreement — commonly 30, 60 or 90 days — and we plan the switch to land as it expires, so you are not paying two providers at once. If you are early in a term, we will tell you honestly whether it is worth waiting for renewal.
What if our existing IT documentation is incomplete?
Missan rebuilds practical documentation during onboarding — users, devices, cloud services, vendor contacts, critical systems and support priorities.
What does it cost to switch to Missan?
The IT health check is free and you keep the written report whether or not you go ahead. Transition work is quoted separately once we know what is actually in your environment — you see and agree the figure before anything starts. Nothing is invoiced that you have not approved in advance.
What is the best first step before switching to Missan?
Before you speak to anyone, do three things: confirm you can log in to your own domain registrar, confirm you hold a Global Administrator account on your Microsoft 365 tenant in your company’s name, and ask your current provider for the asset and licence list in writing. Those three make any handover cleaner — including one to a provider that is not us. Then start with the free IT health check.
